Abstract
In this presentation, Julie shares her experiences building her IT company from just her in her basement to 24 employee and multi-millions in revenue with Fortune 100 clients. Starting from a services company, she worked with a customer to develop a large-scale manufacturing application for which she retained the rights and then commercialized, licensing it to other companies. After ten years of profitable operation, she cashed out of the business and sold the software to a business partner.
In addition to her own experiences, Julie shares insight she has gained in advising other technology companies in their start-up, growth and expansion. Topics such as ways to really know what your customers want and why refusing to get out of the details can be detrimental to your business are presented in her humorous and motivating style.
