Women as Leaders: A Global Imperative
When someone says the word leader , what image comes to mind? Someone charismatic, strong, and visionary. Is the figure a man or a woman? Most often, the image of strength that defaults in our mind as a leader is male .
Even with the many women who have emerged as leaders throughout the world over the past 50 years, they are still not the first picture we see. It is time to change that image and reprogram that response.
There are experiences and characteristics that are uniquely feminine which, when used correctly, make for a solid base of strong leadership. The objectives of this session, which can be delivered as a keynote or workshop, are to:
Remove the fear many of us have about stepping into leadership roles
Build confidence in our abilities to be an effective leader
Provide a context for us to look at their strengths and weaknesses in order to develop our personal leadership style
Using real-life stories from business and home, Julie shows women how to:
Tap into our inner strength and instincts to lead from a core of authenticity
Recognize and leverage our communication skills to lead others
Utilize our inclusiveness to build consensus
Identify and overcome the pitfalls that keep us from being effective leaders
